This week I hand unto my warriors a seemingly straightforward challenge - create a comic with no words. But make no mistake, conveying a story, even a simple action, without any dialogue or narration can be quite a challenge. But as comic makers, we must learn to SHOW our readers rather than TELL. So this week, I ask that you create a comic that tells a story, even something as simple as “I walked the dog,” or “a spider fell on my face and I rolled off the bed,” or “Spiderman hits Rhino upside the head.” Just don’t have any words in it."
This comic idea came to me fairly quickly. For some reason I was thinking of sharks at the time and the fact that they like to eat seals. Then I thought that some seals live in the cold and polar bears also eat them. What if I had a poor seal in a "you are screwed either way" situation. escaping a shark to jump into the maw of a polar bear. Why not have two seals and each one thinking it has escaped the jaws of death... but not really. Sorry seals.
